- Riverview Receives another
"Kiducation" Donation.
Riverview Homes,
Inc. through its charity work with “Kiducation” turns donated clothing and shoes
into funds for libraries and schools and other local charities.
Riverview Homes
teams up with Kiducation over 1 year ago to set out clothing donation drop boxes
at Riverview's 7 retail display centers in Western Pennsylvania.
Riverview Homes, Inc. a builder of modular and
manufactured homes teamed up with “Kiducation”, a part of Community Crusade for
Children, Inc., a nonprofit organization, to turn donated clothing into much
needed funds for local charities, libraries and schools. “We have been
collecting used clothing for just over a year now and the continuing results are
very pleasing” explains Robert Fanelli, President of Riverview Homes, Inc.
“Kiducation” contracted Riverview Homes with the proposal to let them place
their pick up bins at our retail sales locations”, explains Robert Fanelli, “Our
locations are in good areas along well traveled roads which are perfect for
their needs.” Mr. Fanelli explains the process, “Basically if you have
unwanted, useable, clothing and shoes, you take them to the pick up bins located
at 7 of our locations, visit
RiverviewHomesInc.com to find our nearest
location, put the items in the bin, “Kiducation” empties the bins on a regular
schedule and they turn the donated cloths into funds which they then distribute
to local schools and charities including the American Cancer Society.” Mr.
Fanelli continues, “We have now received our second donation for the American
Cancer Society from “Kiducation”. This was part of the appeal of doing
this program. Not only are National charities benefiting, but a local
charity that we picked and have close tie to does as well.” “Riverview’s
total collections of used and unwanted clothing and shoes at our 7 locations has
grown to almost 25,000 pounds.”
