On October 4th, 2016 the PA House Republican Policy Committee held a hearing and factory tour at Colony Factory Crafted Homes in Shippenville, PA. John Fanelli, RHI Vice President, had the opportunity to participate in the hearing hosted by Representative Donna Oberlander.

Rep. Oberlander informed those who attended that the factory built housing industry has been a major employer of her family for many generations in the Clarion county region. Knowing the industry was a major employer in Clarion County and the surrounding region, Rep. Donna Oberlander who represents Clarion/Armstrong/Forest counties invited the House Majority Policy Committee, chaired by Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (Centre/Mifflin), to a legislative hearing in Shippenville so that legislators across the Commonwealth can learn more about the economic impact this industry has on the region, as well as how legislative and regulatory decisions made in Harrisburg impact its ability to grow. After the hearing the participants had an opportunity to tour the plant and walk through display homes.

The following legislators attended the hearing and stayed to tour the plant and visit the display homes: Rep. Kerry Benninghoff (Centre), House Republican Policy Committee Chair; Rep. Donna Oberlander, House Republican Caucus Secretary, Local House Legislator; Rep. Brian Ellis (Butler), House Republican Caucus Administrator; Rep.
