In September of 2012, Riverview launched their new website. Since then, employees Krysta Fanelli & Jeff Held have been working hard to continually improve the new website, as well as streamline the customer's online experience. "One thing that was missing on the new site was pictures of all the display models," says Krysta Fanelli. Riverview had been using Facebook to post pictures of the display models at each location. While this method had worked in the past, Riverview wanted to make things easier for their customers. Many customers were having trouble viewing the photos on Facebook, and it was starting to become a problem. "We wanted customers to be able to stay on our website without having to go to Facebook to see pictures," stated Krysta.
Over the winter, Krysta implemented new Flickr slideshows for each home on the website. The project was completed at the end of February. Now customers can click on a model home at any of the 8 locations, and see a slideshow of the photos for that particular home. Krysta continues, "Switching everything over from Facebook to Flickr and the website took about 3 months time, but it was well worth it." Riverview is no longer hearing customer complaints about not being able to see photos, and the switch has also benefited the sales consultants.
Looking forward, Riverview hopes to be able to provide pictures of past models on the website as well.
