Modular homes are beautiful residences built in a controlled factory environment and designed to be set on a permanent approved foundation on private property. Built to the IRC Code, modular homes get constructed in sections, or modules, and are then transported to the construction site 70-90% complete. On-site the sections are set on a foundation and completed to create your new home. Modular floor plans consist of many different styles and sizes, such as ranch, split-level, gable entry, cape cod, chalet, log sided, and two-story.
Employing the factory-built concept is more efficient than on-site construction. That efficiency translates into the homebuyer saving thousands of dollars, or enabling them to purchase more home for the money. The factory-built concept minimizes waste, as planning allows you the use of material that would normally be scrap. And, by taking advantage of buying material in bulk, manufacturers add to the savings. Modular construction also offers price savings that other methods cannot. Since modular construction can be completed in up to 35% less time than site-built construction, there is a reduction in financing costs. Therefore, interim construction financing gets significantly reduced or eliminated.
